Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 Collection: Everything You Need to Know!
The Paris Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture Week officially began on July 6, setting the stage for another extraordinary celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and artistic storytelling. Schiaparelli opened the first day of the prestigious fashion event with its mesmerizing collection, “The Abyss”. This was followed by breathtaking presentations from renowned fashion houses such as Imane Ayissi, Christian Dior, Iris Van Herpen, and India’s very own Rahul Mishra. Each designer brought a unique creative vision to the runway with their innovative haute couture collections. Among all the remarkable showcases, Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 collection emerged as one of the most talked-about highlights of this week. Titled “Devi: The Eternal Muse”, the Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 collection is inspired by India’s ancient temple sculpture, divine feminine energy, and centuries-old artisanal traditions.
A Star-Studded Front Row
The front row for Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 collection featured some of the most influential names in the industry. Cardi B, a 33-year-old Grammy-winning hip-hop superstar, attended the show in an exquisite custom Rahul Mishra ivory corset gown. Inspired by the famous 12th-century sculpture of Mohini (Lord Vishnu’s only female avatar) at India’s Chennakeshava Temple in Belur, this whole piece pays homage to Indian embroidery and draping. The details on this magnificent couture piece were exquisite, featuring trompe l’oeil draping, breast prints, and embroidered pearl clusters on the waistline and over the shoulders. The statement forehead ornament (maang tikka-inspired headpiece) perfectly complements the ensemble.

Isha Ambani, a director at Reliance Industries and the daughter of Asia's richest man, Mukesh Ambani, was also among the distinguished attendees. She was seated beside Cardi B in the front row during the show. The prominent Indian businesswoman wore Rahul Mishra’s custom, sculpted slate-grey corseted ensemble, inspired by the paintings of the Ajanta Caves. The custom couture featured a structured metallic grey corset bodice (embellished with three-dimensional beadwork, crystals, and sequins), a draped midi skirt (detailed with hand-embroidered floral appliqués), and a sheer matching stole. To complete the look, her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, accessorized the ensemble with a custom Lorraine Schwartz necklace, complemented by a statement diamond ring and elegant matching earrings. However, the highlight of the whole look was the showstopping Sac Bijau Berkin Bag, one of the three pieces ever made. This iconic bag is crafted from 18-k white gold and 3,025 diamonds, making it one of the ultra-luxurious pieces in the world.

Venue, Set Design, & Soundtrack
Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 Collection was presented on July 6, 2026, at 17:00, according to the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode schedule. The stunning couture showcase was hosted at the historic Collège des Bernardins in Paris, France.

The whole set was designed in the iconic 70-meter-long, two-aisle grand nave, where its stone pillars, dramatic vaulted ceilings, and Gothic stone framework served as a perfect background to the collection. Meanwhile, Jayant Luthra composed the show’s soundtrack, incorporating traditional indian instruments recorded inside the actual Ajanta Caves.
“Devi: The Eternal Muse”: The Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 Collection Paying Tribute to Indian Sculptures
What was the Vision & Inspiration?
The Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 collection titled “Devi: The Eternal Muse” drew heavy inspiration from Indian heritage, especially ancient temple sculptures of Ajanta Caves and the Tarakeshwara Temple of Karnataka.

In one of his promotional Instagram videos for the couture collection, Rahul Mishra says, "The collection is almost like time travel. We’ve created something which takes all the symbolism of an ancient sculpture, which probably is more than 2,000 years old, found in the southern part of India and how all the motifs come our from there, all the jewellery which is inbuilt into stone like surface is created out of that as if, we are reliving couture with the same ideas what created these sculptures, and what created a muse for these sculptures.” |
His 2026 couture collection is centered on the Sanskrit idea of Devi (meaning Goddess), a symbol of feminine power, beauty, and wisdom in Indian culture. Rather than concealing the human form, Mishra celebrated it as a sacred work of art, presenting the body with confidence and grace.

He drew heavy inspiration from India’s celebrated architectural treasures like Ajanta Caves, the Tarakeshwara Temple, and other South Indian sculptures. The Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Maharashtra, are a series of rock-cut Buddhist caves dating back to the 2nd century BCE. These caves are famous for their breathtaking depictions of celestial beings, graceful dancers, and divine figures. Every wall and pillar showcases the exceptional artistry, with flowing drapery, delicate jewelry, and expressive human forms carved into stone. These sculptural details inspired Mishra to create designs that feature metallic zardozi, dabka, pearls, crystals, bugle beads, Temple arch motifs, looping patterns, and illusion drapery.

Similarly, he draws inspiration from the timeless masterpieces of South Indian temple architecture. One of the defining characteristics of these ancient temples is the depiction of apsaras (heavenly dancers) and devanganas (divine maidens), portrayed in graceful dance poses. Mishra paid the genuine homage to this divine feminine essence of south indian temples through his designs. He transformed ancient stone carvings into wearable haute couture. Several ensembles featured architectural shoulder structures, carved bodices, and dramatic headdresses.

Tanishq’s First-Of-Its-Kind Exclusive Couture Jewellery Collection: Collaboration Like Never Ever Seen Before
Rahul Mishra said, “This is the most India-inspired collection I’ve ever done”. And, he truly meant it. Tanishq, India’s leading fine jewellery brand, joined hands with the celebrated couturier as the official jewellery partner for his Paris Haute Couture showcase. On their fourth appearance at Paris Couture Week, Tanishq presented its “Desert Diamonds Collection” alongside Rahul Mishra’s couture show. The fine jewellery collection was crafted in partnership with De Beers Group (a renowned diamond mining and trading company), showcasing the timeless beauty of natural diamonds formed over millions of years beneath the Earth’s surface. Each piece in this jewelry collection features rare stones, chosen for their warm, earthy spectrum of hues, ranging from soft whites and champagne shades to honey, whiskey, cognac, and sunset browns.
Just as Rahul Mishra Couture Fall 2026 collection drew inspiration from India’s ancient temples and craftsmanship, Tanishq’s naturally hued diamonds reflected the rich colors of sandstone monuments, sunlit caves, and the golden glow of Indian heritage.

Garima Maheshwari, Head of Design at Tanishq, said, “Paris Couture Week represents the pinnacle of global luxury and creative expression.
